Background

Background

Positive action for Development (PAD) is an Ethiopian resident’s charity organization. The organization has legally registered by Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian Agency for Civil  Society Organization on June 6/2011, licensed under the registration number 2330 and also re-registered on May 22, 2019 in accordance with Civil Society Organizations Proculamation No. 1113/2019 . Currently, the organization has a significant and active operational presence in the Eastern parts of the country particularly in Dire Dawa city administration, Harari regional state and Oromia regional state. 

Organizational Governance

 General Assembly

PAD general assembly is the highest decision body of the organization. The general assembly has 28 members out of which 17 of them are women. According to organizational bi-low membership to PAD general assembly is possible for any individual above the age of 18 willing to contribute for the fulfillment of the organizational objective. The general assembly annually held its regular meeting.

Organizational Board

Organizational Board is the second highest decision making body of the organization. The Board is selected by the general assembly for a total of 4 years. Accordingly PAD has a board of five standing members. The organizational board quarterly meets and monitors the accomplishment of the organizational executive body.

PAD organizational Executive body is chaired by the Executive Director of the Organization. The executive body include Program managers, Project managers and other senior core staff. The Executive body is responsible for the day to day routine organizational management and meet on periodic and routine base
